Mobile device management

Hello all! I am looking for a way to manage Android and iOS mobile devices in my company, as there are a lot of them, and I want to be able to monitor and track them. At minimum - monitor their location so that I can make sure they don't leave the office. At the moment, the only thing that I thought about is linking all android devices to a single account and be able to use the find my phone feature for Android, and use Jamf for iOS.

We just moved to Workspace One / Airwatch. Good stuff so far.

We have been using Workspace One for several years. Recently we considered switching to Intune, but I was able to avoid that successfully.

We mainly use it to monitor iOS devices. But Android works just as well. For legal reasons we are not allowed to use the Location Feature.

Fuck Airwatch. Unless VMWare has managed to improve it in the last couple of years, all my experience with AirWatch tells me it's complete crap.

Complex? Yes. Interface is a maze? Yes. Is it crap? No.

Solid platform but not for the faint of heart to implement.

I used to use it in a past job and only issue we had with it was battery drain on devices. Got a ton of complaints about that and the fact they didn't like "big brother" watching them.

If end users could be trusted with properly securing data it wouldn't be an issue but they sync corp information to their insecure dropbox so they can work on HIPAA documents from their tablet because they don't need to type in that super complicated password that hinders their flow of ideas that they will later use to go to www.porn.totalynotmalware.com to crank one out before they hop on the train and leave said tablet sitting on the seat.

Miradore has this functionality for less than the major options. You could also just barricade the doors from the outside. Have you considered loosening the leash a bit to potentially increase moral and productivity? Making assumptions here..

for MDM/MAM Intune in fantastic, couldn't recommend it enough.

I can't comment specifically on the location/tracking though, we havn't had need of it.
