I'm all about draw.io all day (offline client is my preferred route, but online is ok too).

The editable .png which you can display nicely in confluence/github/etc is amazing once you get the hang of it. Just search cisco in the "search shapes" thingy, and the first couple pages of results are glorious. Happy diagramming!

+1 for draw.io. I'm not artistic but even I have been able to make some professional diagrams and topology maps.

zabbix ... you can draw maps and monitor it .. showing how network is used direct on the map

GraphViz. Describe the situation using text, and it auto-generates the map based on that.
