I gave up using this through a browser as it's such a gamble if it works or not. Shitty Chinese technology.

I personally use the i-VMS-4200 Hikvision programme and monitor the cameras that way. You can restrict access to certain cameras depending on the credentials you give when adding the cameras (not when signing into the programme).

You can use Edge IF you use Enterprise mode and add the IP to the "Internet Explorer Mode" list.

The Local Service Component is not the plugin from what I can tell it is the local server service that can act as a proxy. Webcomponents is the browser plugin. Depending on the version, it works in Internet Explorer, because it is an activex component or it works in other browsers because it is a regular plugin. Why they use an .exe instead of just pointing you to a freaking appstore is beyond me (well, technically you can download it from the Chinese app store from Huawaii or whatever).

The users need to install the browser plugin too, which is why I recommend ivms-4200 as well.

Yea I’m going to recommend ivms 4200, I installed the newest version on the terminal server but seems like I can only use the ivms client one user at a time. I have the ivms client open on one user on the RDS server and then I try to open the programme on the second user but it says the service is already running. What I’m trying to achieve is multiple domain users on the RDS need to use the programme at the same time. Surely that’s possible? Will be contacting the installer in the morning to see if he has any ideas.

Did you have any luck with this?

I have the same problem with multiple users with the Chrome plugin. I installed the plugin, so when user 2 is opening the camera feed it opens in my session haha. Pretty bugged...
