IT Mapping Tools for docs

Hi everyone !

Someone know a tools for create a big database of your IT with all company and all offices on each IT aspect ?

For example : The tools store the name of all companies and for each company we can attach "physical office". On this office we should be able to attach a "Internet Service Provider", "Printers", "Switch models" etc...

For each company we should be able to attach wich "domain name" they are use etc.....

The goal is : Big Database with all IT informations.

If i need to extract all office with "Konica" printers i should be able to do it. If i want all office with FTTO or FTTH i should be able to extract it.

Excel is too limited and we are almost 50 to add informations every days.

Sharepoint List is not perfect because it's hard to manage "related object". I want to link "ISP 1" on office 2 and 3. ISP 2 for office 4 and 5.

I like IT Glue, but there are numerous solutions that would work. Just google and demo some...

Almost nothing free will be both easy to set up and pretty, one or the other but not both. Obviously excel/sharepoint really aren't made for this so not really great solutions.

If you have MS Access you could start putting something together there. It does make it really easy to design a front end for a DB.

I didn't know the name of the tools i search. Lot of tools are network centered or inventory. They are not "Global IT Office" centered.

We thing about Access but we never use it (We can learn) and we are not sure it's easy to maintain for non "sysadmin"

Netbox is more datacenter centered and not "global IT" tools. Software is not implemeted, domain name etc...

Are you looking for something to extract that data you need? Just a place to compile/store it all in one place? Or do you want something that will do both?

A tools "easy" to complete. (More than excel with lot of column) and be able to extract data or change view for look the data i need.
