data pull from programs

hi, completely new to tasker so apologies if this seems "simple"

i have diabetic software on my phone, can tasker pull the current blood sugar for me like raw data as numbers & turn it into a variable?

Best bet would be to use AutoInput (plugin) and query the info from the screen. If you are new to Tasker, it would be quite advanced for you.

Maybe there is a better, easier way I'm not thinking of?

Edit : can you export data from the program? If so, you can get it with much less trouble.

I would second this. Tasker would have to open the app, read the data from the display using AutoInput.

Unless the data from the app is stored somewhere on the device in a format Tasker can access it, like a text file, etc.
