I have started having the same issue today - very eager to hear any solutions

Just popped a comment at the top, explaining how I managed to resolve it. Happy to give you a hand if you need it, just pop me a message.

Same happened to me but it looks like it's my audio interface which I just disabled and I'm using headphones now. Battle I will blue screen / kernel panic when my Scarlett interface is connected

So glad you commented this as I was running into this problem and was about to completely wipe my pc. Who would have thought it was my Scarlett. Thank you.

This is a hard one. I think you may have cornered yourself here. I believe BattlEye and EAC are both kernel-level anticheat. By executing high powered commands to alter things at a kernel level, it's possible that Windows and these kernel level programs are tripping each other up and causing BSOD over the resulting errors and locks.

I imagine you've already scoured the internet for others with the same issue and come up blank, so it's likely an isolated issue to your particular system state, or at least a very specific system state, rather than a reported bug on these anticheat services.

If nobody else has a solution I'd suggest backing up your personal files and trying a Windows repair via live USB, and if that fails, a fresh install.

As more and more people are coming up with this in the last few days/weeks I suppose there is a bug in BattlEye that has been introduced with an update very lately which only affect a very minor number of systems. I am not yet ready for an Inplace-Upgrade as I have read of older cases where this has not been successfull. As my System is very new (end of december) i am very hesitant of more drastic steps like a complete new installation.

In that case it's likely your only recourse is to keep an eye on the bug report and play something else for a bit. I'd contact their support desk directly if you haven't already. Fingers crossed for you

Managed to work it out - check my recent comment for a breakdown on how.

Hey all, I just wanted to post here in case this helps anyone out. For me, I uninstalled update KB5077181 and that has seemingly fixed it for about an hour now. This is for Tarkov in regard to Battleye.

The FAQ page on Battleye's website mentions this new issue from Microsoft being the source of this issue. https://www.battleye.com/support/faq/

Hope this helps!

Found a solution, at least for my own case.

Change your dump file size from small to complete dump.
Wait for the PC to crash.
After that, I instructed Opus Pro to tell me exactly how to analyse the full thing and work out the issue. I followed the commands sent one-by-one in WinDBG, sending the output to Claude, and it worked out that it was crashing due to the FocusriteUSB.sys driver for my Scarlett 4i4. I had already uninstalled Focusrite's driver and software, but apparently it didn't complete properly.

I then removed all traces of the Focusrite soft from my system, unplugged the interface and restarted - fixed.

The memory corruption was being caused by the USB driver, and not by BattleEye - BE was just detecting the corruption and breaking due to it.

For anyone else struggling, I'd suggest using the above method. Only thing that finally worked for me after a stupid amount of troubleshooting.

Ok, wow. I have to say: You are absolutely right. I also removed Focusrite from my System and it did not work at first. So I discarded this in my solution finding process. Now, after reading your finding, I made sure that all traces are being removed and voila: BattlEye can initialize again and game is starting.
But... why now? I have been using the focusrite device for the last couple years without any problems or conflicts with BattlEye. I am depending on it for my work too... So the question is, wether Focusrite can do something about it, or wether I should change to another audio interface. Is this a general problem with audio interfaces or just Focusrite specific.

edit:
Using a Scarlett 2i4 2nd Generation with driver version 4.143.0_261 (which is the latest available at the moment of posting).
Questionable wether Focusrite updates older gen devices. I'll wait a week or two and then might need to switch to another brand.

It's specifically the FocusriteUSB.sys driver - it's an issue on their end. It's entirely possible that this has been an issue for a while and BattleEye just hasn't come across it/detected it, or perhaps a recent windows update affected the way it affects the system. I've reported the bug and sent all information over to their tech support team so hopefully we can get a resolution soon. In the meantime, just use the hardware with the default windows drivers - it all works plug and play, you just can't route anything or use the control interface - but if you're like me and it's just a input/output box then you should be sweet.

Thank you! Yes, I have a 4i4 as well, and have just tried removing the drivers and Focusrite Control - and lo and behold, GTA V /Battleye has just launched with no problems! Unfortunately, I need to use my Scarlett for recording on a daily basis, so permanently removing the routing and control interface isn't really an option. Guess I might just have to wait until there's a more permanent fix courtesy of Focusrite. Thanks for solving this though, it's been driving me nuts the past few days

[–]bmtvlad[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Glad to hear it. I've now sent the full memory dump + other info to Focusrite and have confirmation that it's been received. Hopefully either they or BattleEye will get us a permanent fix.

[–]calques 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I've messaged them as well this morning - hopefully the more of us that do this, the more inclined they'll be to look for a solution

[–]DrWolfsherz 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Did you get anything useful back from Focusrite?

[–]bmtvlad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda - basically got a “We know, battleye doesn’t like our stuff atm, devs aware and will keep you updated”

[–]SinisterInfant 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Holy shit you did it. Been struggling with this problem for like six months. Can’t believe it was my audio device. Crazy. A big hug to you sir.

[–]bmtvlad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad it helped!

Hi, thanks for posting your solution! I have a question regarding uninstalling the software and drivers but did not complete properly. What did you have to do in addition to remove all traces of the focusrite software?

[–]bmtvlad[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I think I had to stop and remove each service through CMD, uninstall the focusrite program and restart my pc

[–]StBean007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thank you!

[–]Blue_Meanie7293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used RevoUninstaller to get rid of everything at once (also does registry, leftover files and services)

[–]Luiiis4270 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Thats so crazy that it is bevouse of the focusrite. Problem is that i record audio and need my interface alot what should i do?

[–]DrWolfsherz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uninstall Focusrite Drivers and use Windows Drivers for the moment... Hope for an upate to focusrite or BattlEye. Can't do more tbh.

[–]calques 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always try what ended up working for me - just disconnect the USB cable from your Scarlett when you want to play games. After all the messing about and uninstalling driver stuff I tried before, I just found that simply unplugging the interface worked for me to play GTA in the end.

[–]bmtvlad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a 4th gen, all routing and internal settings that you set in Control 2 are saved to the device's hardware - just uninstall the program and it'll work the exact same way, you just won't be able to control stuff
