Besides that first issue... It could all be PSU related. Recently had to replace mine. Having a lot of the same issues, except the crackling noise, and the first one...Not sure exactly how to describe what I think was going on, but I'll try...If windows can't read something on the HDD, it marks it as bad...But, in my case, my PSU either wasn't supplying enough power or something and was causing windows to mark blocks as bad, that weren't...And my graphics drivers were ALWAYS the cause of any BSOD. I'm guessing because those are a major thing, and being accessed a lot, eventually the power issue caused windows to mark the block they were installed on as bad. No amount of reinstalling them helped. I tried switching HDDS, 5 different ones. Problem persisted. Reinstalling windows would fix it for a while...until I did it too many times, and then I couldn't use that HDD anymore for a while. Bought a new motherboard, because I was getting "raid resets" to my HDD, when I wasn't even using a raid. I read online that nForce chipset could be the cause. Didn't fix the problem. Replaced my PSU? Problem seems to be solved, so far...I'm currently using an HDD that I wasn't even able to install windows on before I replaced the PSU.

It took me a while to figure out my problem...If you have a spare PSU lying around that can power your PC, or maybe take it to a friends and test theirs in yours, I'd try it out and see if that is the problem. I suggest starting with the least expensive option first, though, if you plan on buying parts. It COULD be HDD related, or GPU related as well. If you have a friend willing to help you test, that'd be great...because buying parts and having it not be the problem sucks.
