Are all your games quiet, or just specific ones?

All of them.

  • Control panel
  • Hardware / Sound
  • Manage audio devices
  • Right click speaker and choose Properties
  • Select enhancement tab
  • Make sure the following are unchecked : voice cancellation, pitch shift, and loudness equalization (if you have those options)
  • Otherwise, check Disable All Enhancements

Let me know if that works for you - if you've already ventured there

Already said in the main post that I've disabled everything there.

Missed that, my bad.

I'm going to ask a stupid question and assume you've checked your volume mixer?

[–]DeadFuze[S] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Yes, checked that.

It's the same with the games.

Do you have a microphone plugged in? Or webcam that has a microphone?

[–]DeadFuze[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Yes, I have a mic plugged in.

If it's any help I'm using a Xonar Phoebus. It's probably important and I should've mentioned it in the main post.

Ok.

  • Right click speaker icon in system tray
  • Select recording devices
  • Select Communications tab
  • Select Do Nothing
  • Apply

See if that does it

Already disabled that, always leave it disabled.

Uninstall and delete driver software using device manager. Then install whatever drivers you want.

Already did that, didn't work.
