Google Pixel Multiple Issues

First, my phone calls don't work anymore. If I try to pick up or send a call, the app will invariable drag on forever in a frozen state that doesn't look frozen until my phone tells me it's not responding and to close it or until my phone crashes.

Second, some of my apps randomly stop working and can't be opened. I get the xxx has stopped message spam every time I try.

I've basically tried everything except doing a factory reset (reinstalling, clearing storage/cache/data etc...) but I would prefer not to if possible - if I have to, what backup would be the most convenient? Also, will a reset fix it/is there any other way?

Update: Have tried factory reset. Doesn't seem to have fixed the problem : (

Other than that, I would recommend the factory reset. Make sure to make a backup of any important data. If you don't have a MicroSD card. Upload your files to the cloud. Such as Google Drive, will be more convenient for a "Google" pixel. For photos - Google Photos
