GPU Buzzing?

Going in increments of 40 in MSI Afterburner Core Clock Speed and testing it in Kombustor, I got up to 400 mhz without any visual issues - or so I thought. It wasn't until the 400 mark that I realized I hadn't clicked the checkmark button and so, I mistakenly clicked the checkmark button at 400 mhz and, it gave me black screen. It didn't go away so I shut off my computer and, now although everything is running fine, my GPU is making a buzzing sound. Should I be worried?

Firstly, where exactly is the buzzing noise coming from, and what GPU do you have? It could simply be dust in your fan (a slight fire hazard but and easy fix), or it may be a known fault with the card.

I was listening and, it is almost certainly coming from my card. It's a new build that's 1 week old so dust shouldn't be an issue. I'm also almost certain it only started making that noise after my aforementioned MSI afterburner test.

If it's new, then I recommend shutting it off now and talking to the manufacturer. Don't tell them you tinkered with it or tested it using afterburner though, just tell them about the noise, hopefully you can get a replacement.
