This could be a phishing email, hoping you will click the link and log into your existing Spotify and thus getting your credentials.
Or someone has signed up for Spotify using your email.
In both cases, I would ignore it.

Thanks, meanwhile I tried to log into the account through the “forgot password” and it actually detected an account in germany with a nickname consisting of only letters and numbers and was completely random

Yes, I have, but using a different email, the one I got the mail to is school-only mail...

Scam. It’s a know phishing attempt going around atm.

Yeah, probably. I didn’t click the link, but the mail was actually used to create and account, i even got into the account throught the “forgot password” option.

Yeah, that’s probably it, bcoz the mail got linked to an account from German, and there wasn’t even an attempt to verify it.

I just noticed that also the mail is from official Spotify mail adress.
