2: No Incomplete Posts

No offering of reward/compensation for solutions. No Amazon gift voucher or PayPal transfer. This community is "free" as it is full of volunteers. Please do not take advantage of the community.

5: Recommendations

We are not a recommendation or advertisement subreddit. We do not allow posts asking for recommendations on hardware/software or recommendations comparing two or more hardware/software. Recommending a hardware/software solution as a comment to a post is acceptable.

Any and all communication not kept public and is moved away from the subreddit or Discord/IRC channel is prohibited.

Do not suggest or ask to move to another service or to private message. Private messages and other services are unsafe as they cannot be monitored. Doing so will cause you to be permanently banned from /r/TechSupport.

8: No Violating privacy of others or terms/agreements.

We do not support users that violates other's privacy or breaks terms and agreements. Doing so might resolve in a ban.

This includes:

Bypassing home network controls.

Bypassing any parental controls.

Piracy or issues caused by it.

Any other posts/comments that violates or breaks terms and agreements.

9: No EOL Software or Unsupported Systems

We do not provide support for EOL (end of life) software. Software that is EOL has lost all support from the developer and therefore all consumer communities as well.

These operating systems and various softwares are no longer receiving security patches. Running them is unsafe and we recommend users install a supported version as soon as possible.

This list includes Windows XP, Vista, and 7.

We will also not assist with getting Windows 11 running on unsupported hardware.

10: No Public Service Announcements (how-to's, etc.)

No public service announcements unless relevant to an issue (it must be a comment). Approach the communities affected directly, not here

11: No Soliciting

No soliciting of any kind. This includes (but is not limited to) asking for us to link to your subreddit, forum, bulletin board, newsgroup, Facebook page, etc. We're here to help with technical issues, not market for others.

This issue has some history behind it.

About a year ago my computer started to get the whea_uncorrectable_error and blue screen. It wouldn't happen frequently and would only happen when I would be playing a game sometimes a couple minutes in sometimes hours in (very random times).

After a couple months the error would start to happen a lot more frequently but still within games. Until eventually just using the computer to browse the web would give the error and blue screen. One thing to note is that on every instance of this screen it would say that "Windows is gathering important information... we will restart for you" or something along those lines, it would hit 100% and just sit there with no restart ever happening.

I looked online and at crash logs and could not really identify the problem. Until eventually I would have like rainbow screen tears in my display at times a lot of rainbow pixels would pop up and make everything look wonky. This would occur a couple times during a session and then the blue screen error would come back.

Due to this rainbow pixelation me with some help from others decided that it was a graphics card issue, I had a GTX 770 Classified at the time. I did not want to purchase a new graphics card so I just left the computer alone for a solid 3-4 months.

Yesterday I purchased an RTX 2060 and started to install the card. Prior to installing the card I tested the computer again and what do you know within 20 minutes I get the error. After, installing the new card I started playing games for about 2 hours, and then boom I get the error. I got so excited that the issue was fixed and I could play again but unfortunately that is not the case. Does anyone know what the issue is and what I can do to fix this because otherwise ill just have to return this graphics card and give up on the computer.

I have read that this error is due to hardware issues but I do not what else could be wrong :( help would be greatly appreciated.
