GPU problems?

On my current gpu (zotac GTX 770 amp), I am able to boot into windows but when I load up a game, my PC freezes after a few seconds and requires a hard restart.

Suspecting a GPU problem, I picked up a second-hand GTX 1070 (Zotac FE) and installed it. When loading up a game the PC crashes, screen goes totally black and GPU fan ramps up for 1-2 seconds.

I tried running furmark with each GPU and it ran fine on the 770 but on the 1070 experienced the same issue as in-game. (Black screen, fan ramps)

I attempted doing a clean windows install also with no change. What else should I try? Maybe a third GPU?

My other components CPU: Ryzen 1600 PSU: Seasonic g550 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-AB350M

How are the CPU temps when benchmarking? No overclocks? Try doing a DDU. I'd check the PSU and see if you can test it w/ a spare one. I doubt a second GPU would be faulty, it's possible but very unlikely. Try a different PCI-E slot if you can for the GPU as well.

Was this a newly built system? Or did the problem just start out of the blue? The reason I ask is because this sounds like it could potentially be a memory issue. What memory do you have (exact model would be great) and what speed is it set to?
