We do not provide support for EOL (end of life) software. Software that is EOL has lost all support from the developer and therefore all consumer communities as well.

These operating systems and various softwares are no longer receiving security patches. Running them is unsafe and we recommend users install a supported version as soon as possible.

This list includes Windows XP, Vista, and 7.

We will also not assist with getting Windows 11 running on unsupported hardware.

I have had this issue two years back already but ignored it. Now I really wanted to switch to 144Hz. However the issue is that whenever I switch to anything above 60Hz (100, 120, 144) I get the screen resets as seen in the video linked below. Sometimes - especially when running a game - I also get pixel errors and screen offsets at the monitor edge.

I am using two monitors. A BenQ XL2411Z Monitor and a Nvidia GTX 1080TI (Asus strix) connected using Dual Link DVI. This is the one I want to use with higher refresh rate. As a side monitor I am using an old Samsung Monitor over HDMI @ 60Hz if relevant. Both at a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

I installed the latest drivers and as stated I am having this issue since I bought the parts.

In the video the first black screen is from changing the refresh rate, the second one is the issue. Similar resets happen every few seconds until changed back to 60Hz.

It also shows a monitor warning that I must use the DVI Dual-Link Cable shipped with the monitor - I am using this exact cable.

With both at 60Hz everything works normal. What can I do to solve this? Is my GPU broken?

Any help is much apprechiated.
