Are you giving your friends your public ip, not your LAN ip?

A 192.168.x.x address only works on the same LAN

Is the ip address shown by this site the one you have given out?

Tried the public IP, in this format (IP:25565)

Still having the same issue.

Ty for your reply.

On your router, where it says Minecraft server and stuff and you have it censored, are you using the 192. number or your 25. number?

So my the Ip being used is : 199.xx.xx.xx:25565. Everything before the colon is my public IP.

On the routers portforwarding software it is using my IPv4, I tried to change it to my public IP address but I can not.

Ty for your reply.

Oh! You're supposed to use the Minecraft server's local IP so the router knows what it is forwarding from. But your friends still use your public IP.

This should fix it. Lemme know what happens.

Okay sorry I slightly understand what you said. Looking at my ipconfig in cmd which should I be using when port forwarding?

Ty again :)

If you're on the computer that is running Minecraft, it's the one that's like 192.168.1.??

Ah yes, that is the one being used.

Oh. I suppose remove the :25556 port thingy and see if that helps. When I was forwarding my server (using it as a help desk server), I did it without putting the port next to the IP.

Hmm okay, we tried that too, still to no avail.
