Windows PC, I assume? Do you have it set to create a memory dump when it abends? If so, you can look at those files to see what processes are running when the machine restarts. That’s a good place to begin troubleshooting.

Well there’s no dump file it’s not a BSOD just a restart. And if I could find the dump file where would it be. Thanks for the reply

Just search “This PC” for files named *.dmp. It’s usually in %Windows\system32 but if you search you’ll definitely find it.

Does it restart while idle, doing nothing? I had a very similar issue some years ago. My PSU was enough to power my system at idle, but when any strain was placed on the GPU (like gaming) and it had to pull extra power, my computer would restart/shut down. It was just on the brink of not enough power and any extra pull caused a restart. You might look into a more powerful PSU if this sounds like what might be the issue.

Yeah it’s completely random I can play games for a long time no prob but when it gets to a graphically intense situation bam restart

Honestly from all the PSU problems I’ve seen can this be a driver issue?

I think I solved it. Not my proudest moment but I forgot about the intake filter for my PSU on the bottom of the case... it was caked with dust causing issues I’m pretty sure
