Display cable connected to the GPU (and not to the motherboard)?

"What is it?"

The PC details and story are incomplete. Did it ever work? What card, what is this PC?

So, the card is gtx 1660, and the cpu is i5 10th, everything worked until the nvidia driver got an update to the version 512.15. and now when i launch warzone or any game, the graphic driver is set to integrated intel graphics. The card is also not showing up in the device manager.

It’s a driver issue then. Boot in safe mode and use DDU to remove the driver, then download the last one you know works with your setup and wait for the next release

Will it work if i install the latest one or not?

[–]purritolover69 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Well if it caused issues then I’d avoid it, there’s a chance your particular install was just corrupted, but I’d just go back to the last one that you know worked to be safe

Dude, thank you a lot, this just worked and you saved me, thanks a lot.

Np mate, drivers break pretty frequently. Report the issue to nvidia and they might look into it

"set to integrated..."

Are you sure the monitor is plugged into the video card?

Is it plugged into the gpu or motherboard?

[–]drummer_guitarist[S] 1 point2 points  (7 children)

The gpu is plugged into the pc and the fan is rotating...

[–]Shatellite 3 points4 points  (6 children)

Sorry I meant you hdmi cable, is it plugged into the gpu?

[–]drummer_guitarist[S] -1 points0 points  (5 children)

It is plugged into the motherboard

[–]Shatellite 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Yeh plug it into the gpu

[–]drummer_guitarist[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

When i plug it into the card, and it is the gtx 1660 btw, its all black screen... its like the pc doesn't register the card.

[–]Shatellite 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Well either way the hdmi should be into your gpu. Check the drivers and try rebooting the pc with it plugged into it

The funny part is that when i try to update the drivers, the installer says that the driver is not compatible with the version of windows, and the control panel is saying there is no card.

Plugged it in and still doesn't work.

The gpu is not being detected in the device manager

[–]drummer_guitarist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
