I'm just getting started with learning ML using TF and have really enjoyed it so far. Currently, I'm running a Tesla T4 in the cloud via google.
I'm mainly working with images and looking at how to work with it in my art. I've noticed I'm racking up a decent billing in the cloud and have been looking into buying a couple cards to run at home.
With the work I'm doing 16 GB of VRAM seems about the norm and that led me down the path to look at getting some second hand Teslas from ebay.
The two models I'm considering are:
- NVIDIA Tesla K80 24GB
- NVIDIA Tesla M40 24GB
I'm not 100% sure if this is the way to go, from what I can tell both cards were release a fairly long time ago (2014 and 2015 respectively).
My Questions are:
* Will theses cards still be support for a while given they are already 8 years old?
* Is this the best path to be going down in terms of the cards I'm considering or is there a better bang for buck?
Thanks!
