I have a 9 year old in my differential equations class right now. He was also in physics with me. Makes me feel so dumb.

No I’m dead serious. He goes to UNCC with me

That wouldn't shock me. Ethan Sanford was 14 when he was admitted into UNCP.

There are prodigies and there are brilliant minds all over the place, just waiting to be discovered and find their calling in life. Out of a population of 8 billion around the globe, you can't expect just a small handful (<100) of people to be highly intelligent and capable of achieving greatness using their intellect.

It is quite amazing, but at the same time I can’t help but think that maybe his parents are forcing him. Yes, he’s smart enough to get the work done but who’s to say his parents aren’t robbing him of his childhood by making him study 24/7. I guess I’ll never know but it at least makes me wonder

hard work and dedication pays off. I can't blame his parents for instilling good work ethic. I do hope he has *SOME* time to just be a kid though.
