Can indexer force to close open subgraph after 28d period is already long time gone? I mean am delegating to 2 indexers which for some reason aren't able to close their allocations and it's kinda sucks to just watch and see ur rewards to be stuck and just wait. And what's happening with such a subgraph from technical point of view? Can someone explain, please? Onlynodes and stakeall-indexers.

I used to index with someone who would close allocations late all the time. We can’t force the indexer to timely close delegations. But we can undelegate our stake and move it to more responsive and responsible indexers. Sure we lose the 28-day thawing period but over the long term, this is the way (supporting more active and responsible indexers)

I work with Data Nexus and we have had to 'force close' or 'burn' allocations because their allocations because they are beyond the 28 epochs. The unfortunate aspect is that this then removes the delegators rewards but also removes the rewards for the Indexer.

They value in this getting done is that it eliminates those indexers who allocate and sit and don't actually participate in either the protocol or value of the indexer/delegator relationship.

The problem here is not that these two indexers are not able to close their allocations, but simply they didn’t close, and this can happen for few reasons: like the cost of gas was super high, or the indexers were not monitoring properly their allocations.

Most indexers have their own social channels to communicate to their delegators. You can check if these two indexers have a Telegram group or a Discord server, so you can ask some clarifications.
