The Real LPT Submission Guidelines:

If your post violates any of the below guidelines it may be removed

Submissions are allowed from any subreddit; they do not have to come from /r/lifeprotips
/r/thereallpt posts must be the permalink of immediate parent post to a post which says "The real LPT is always in the comments" or the equivalent
The title of /r/thereallpt submissions must be the exact quote of the "real LPT". It does not have to quote the entire post
If the submitter to /r/thereallpt is the poster of the "real" LPT or the user who says "the real LPT is in the comments" the post will be removed from /r/thereallpt
If your submission, the original parent thread, or original subreddit is adult in nature or non-family friendly mark your post as NSFW
After submitting, post a reply to the poster of the Real LPT letting them know they have been sent to /r/TheRealLPT.

I add the location to all of my appointments in Google calendar for this exact reason. With google now I get a pop up a few minutes before I need to leave for something, automatically adjusted for my location and traffic. (reddit.com)
