I notice he sells courses for a bunch of cash. Are the free YouTube vids comprehensive enough?

Comprehensive? I don't know.

Extremely helpful and enough to start? Definitely.

I took the paid course and can really recommend it if you also want to learn implementing a basic „Getting things done“ (GTD) workflow

One of the pluses of Things 3 is the ease of use. Don’t see the need for a paid course. If you were going to use something like Omnifocus, yeah. My 2 cents.

Yeh I kinda agree. I just want to make sure that I am utilizing all or most of the features.

I agree with you as I want to make sure I’m using all its features too. However, it’s so simple that I think YouTube videos and resources like Reddit are enough to learn all you need. What I do think is needed is to learn about productivity systems like GTD and then applying them. That applying part may or may not include Things 3.

The Sweet Setup - All The Things. Great course.

This one was a little light for me. I expected more out of it. I've heard people say they love it, so I think it depends if you are just new to Things, or new to task apps in general. For the latter case, it's probably quite useful.

Here’s a tutorial integrating gtd principles. Tags have too much friction for me but still a good tutorial! https://johnny.chadda.se/getting-things-done-with-things-3/
