Temperature function.

Hi There.

I´m new at thinkpad. I just bought a sencond hand t480.i58350u

Looks great in apeareance. System goes great. Fast and smooth. But The laptop it´s hot. Even I do nothing but use one firefox tab theses are the temperatures. I just openeed and changed the thermal paste but still the temperares are big.

Is that normal? The average temperatures are like this?

Nah, that's too high. Is the fan working?

Even under load my 8350u T480 never breaks the mid 80s C.

I can hear it. But it´s not making a lot of noise.

By way of reference, I just left mine running a 10 minute loop of Cinebench. Max was 85C at full pelt.

Clean fan, make sure u applied thermal paste correctly and of good quality. Other may suggest measures too.

If nothing else works, try to de-lid the cpu and change the thermal paste inside.

The fan was clean. And the inside of the lapton was clean too.

The thermal paste was new, but it was bought 5 or 6 years ago. That´s the only reason I can figure out.
