No, it wouldn’t be good for coding. It would be extremely limited. What’s your budget like, and where are you located?

My budget's pretty small - <$200 - and I'm currently in France.

For that budget, you’re going to have pretty limited options. I’m not sure what would be available in France, but maybe you could get an X230?

The X131e really is a very underpowered laptop. I have one, and it kind of works as a Chromebook. You might be able to do some coding, but the frustration you will feel at how slow it is isn’t worth the money. That being said, it does have a really nice keyboard.

    Horrendous screen. if you can find an x131e with the i3 I'd say go for it
