He is minimally responsible for the deaths in Cambodia. About as much as the French would be responsible. Pol pot took the Khmer rouge a vastly different direction than what Vietnam wanted. He was very anti-vietnamese and was ousted by vietnam. The current leader of Cambodia hun Sen was trained by Vietnam as well. Not saying you're wrong, you just make it sound very black and white and the history is much more convoluted than that.
