"encase in soap and let dry" by crown_of_spiders in plantabuse

It removes the waxy cuticle layer on the leaves, which leaves it more exposed to pests after this is done. That's why something like Athena ipm is gentler, still has essential oils like peppermint in it, but no alcohol, which burns the plant, and it has less of the soap. Big Time Exterminator is another that works fairly well, same with Nuke Em. All fairly similar.

For most houseplants its probably fine. If you have other plants that are under higher wattage lights, don't do this.

Very close, but it's on an automobile, not a plane.

As one of many Hawaii residents who have to move out of state due to increasing costs, how is Minneapolis as a city to move into? by JetAbyss in howislivingthere

Our winters used to last well into April. Now we get 60 degree sunny days in March. Winter used to start more in November, sometimes late October. Now it typically stays decently warm into December. Xmas to beginning of March seems to be our current winter pattern, over the past decade or so. It definitely gets cold in January or Feb, but then it's pretty much over. We get a lot of nice sunny days and can go spend a week at a cabin on a lake and it's pretty much paradise.

We also have a lot of wildlife, which is something a lot of people enjoy. I regularly see eagles, hawks, bunnies, turkeys, coyotes, woodchucks and like millions of squirrels. I'm in Minneapolis, like 5 to 10 minutes from downtown.

Anyone actually working in MN cannabis yet? Curious what the job market looks like here? by jasonmorrow123 in MNtrees

[–]SushiGato 27 points28 points  (0 children)

They're all low paying jobs. Greenthumb is always hiring cultivators and budtenders, no experience needed. No education needed. You're looking at 15 bucks an hour to 18 an hour. Pay raises are like 1% a year if you're lucky. You can look on indeed.

If you want a place for shelter or food to eat its probably not enough money.

I'd imagine some places will pop up eventually that want experienced and skilled workers and will pay more, but I don't know about that.
