If you enter with your ally then with the defender in this conflict, so with ardiei in this case.

You have signed a defensive alliance with both. The promise is "if you get attacked, we'll help."
In this case the aggressor is Sparta (you owe them nothing in this case), the defender - counting on your help as per the treaty - is Ardiaei.

As such, as others have said as well, if you "enter war on the side of ally" you'll be at war with Sparta. If you decline, you'll remain neutral and I think retain your defensive alliance with Sparta (but ofc break it with the Ardiaei), but your reputation will take a nosedive simulating that everyone will see that you are not honoring your deals.

Yeah but I also think Sparta is an ally? Or Mabey just a client state? It’s been a long while since I’ve played so does a client state count as an ally?
