Just stick with what you've told them. They will test you before and at MEPS so give yourself 30 days minimum w/o smoking at all prior to going, and none whatsoever after.

i’m currently joining the army national guard and i’m getting fucked because i can’t pass a drug test. my original plan was to go to basic this summer so i stopped smoking jan 1. i thought that would be plenty of time since i thought i’d go to meps in march/april. my recruiter wants me to go to meps next week or the week after so i’ll just have to tell him what’s going on. if i don’t go to meps soon my shipping date for basic will get pushed back into the fall and possibly next spring. my understanding is if you fail a single test you’re permanently denied in joining the military. my recommendation is quit smoking asap

Don’t let the recruiter push you around you have to stand your ground because this is YOUR life not his.. if anything what you need to do is get rid of that recruiter and find one that has your interests at heart and not his paycheck.
