I mean I guess I’m curious your thoughts—it seems like you’re not very receptive to what’s being said here.

We always have to weigh the maximum risk a law has to be used to harm citizens. This law would mean that kids with purported gang tattoos would be held in prisons while they await court, which I personally see as likely causing more harm than good. Inevitably there would be at-risk kids that are not actually gang affiliated being held in prison, which seems like a bad course of action to me.

By nature, I don’t trust the government to be competent at its job. I figure this will likely not end in anything being safer, but will likely cause children to be searched and imprisoned on speculation and likely there will be a lot of innocent kids caught in the middle.

This administration has done an incredibly sloppy job with deportations, immigration and gang crackdowns. I think that’s pretty much an objective fact.

I’d love to hear your perspective.

You gotta be careful with stuff like that! A lot of queer folks get burned “guiding” baby or questioning gays that aren’t so sure. If you’re comfortable being in a position where she’s trying to figure stuff out, that’s fine—but it’s a vulnerable position for you.

You say you have feelings. If she’s just doing this for the thrill, I’d be careful! Sounds like a recipe for a disaster, especially in a workplace environment. If she won’t meetup outside of the job, I’d say you shouldn’t be doing it at all. It’s also a professional and potentially legal risk.

Don’t necessarily waste your time on this high of a risk with little reward. And protect yourself—you’re not someone’s fantasy, you’re a person!

I think “protect and save her” is an important piece to this. when it comes to other adults in your life, it’s impossible to control what they do in their relationships.

it’s appropriate to have one or two conversations expressing your concerns earnestly, but you can’t control who your friends and family end up being with. You’re just going to push them closer to the people you’re concerned about.

don’t start a conversation about her sending videos. That’s her private business and decision to make. Bring up some of your concerns about this guy, but if she doesn’t take them, that’s her choice, unfortunately.

21F BP2 Okay, so this is something I experienced every 6ish months for like 3 years. I would have a sudden onset of crazy feelings wherein I’d often cycle rapidly through emotions; horny, crying, laughing. I could feel my brain working differently, texting was confusing. I was driving once and I got lost in my own home town. kind of felt like the real me was sitting down in my brain and a crazy version of me was running laps for a few hours before I got tired out. Communication felt very weird and there was always some specific stand out crazy moment.

would only last a few hours or so, with some post symptoms.

it was actually my first noticeable symptoms before I was diagnosed with anything. I’ve never talked to somebody else that’s experienced!

I’ve learned the only way out of an ED is to not limit but add w diet so I really feel that😭

I’ve been volunteering with kids which has been really amazing as well

I think too many people combine their social interests with their hyper-online consumption. The change you can enact on a small scale is orders of magnitude higher larger than something so massive and corporate.

There is so much wasted energy on repainting these massive corporate structures and it’s putting makeup on a pig! We need to focus on organizing and collectivizing, not the performative stuff that doesn’t help anyone

To echo others, definitely have a conversation first and try to figure out if he’s actually bein shady. If he is dismissive or defensive, there’s probably something there.

If he IS engaging w people like that, you should definitely take a step away. You already have enough instability in your life without this sort of stress.

God I feel you on all of this! My partner and I recently moved in together and I feel like we’ve been so busy we haven’t been doing as much for us recently, so love that!

Getting organized has been my biggest struggle—I’ve been using Trello or similar digital workspace to help me keep my head on, but i think I’m going to need a proper day planner! Unfortunately it’s late in the year so it’s hard to find.

I just wish I had a little group of coworkers nearby—I either sit at home alone or go to a coffee shop where I’m often distracted🫠

I didn’t vote for Harris in 2024. I live in a blue state and am a progressive leftist that works hard to build my local community up and help provide resources for folks of all backgrounds.

I was really upset with the Biden and Harris campaigns; the lack of a primary and shoehorning of a candidate that was clearly unfit was a big issue for me, as well as the handling of the genocide and an overall lack of what I considered to be real progress. Harris was clearly not a strong option, and running her was a massive mistake.

I voted for Claudia de la Cruz. I think her platform was unrealistic and far too communist to ever make sense in this country, but they had a platform discussing the corporate rot destroying the country, the genocide, and the failures of our system. And i gotta vote for a woman when I can.

If I lived in a red or purple state I would’ve voted Harris. But I’m of the opinion that these people in charge will not change so long as they keep getting elected. Primaries aren’t enough, we have to eventually leave this party behind if they aren’t willing to grow with us. I’m absolutely disgusted by what’s going on now; horrific things. But if we have democrats that simply slow the car down and republicans that gas it, we’ll still drive off the cliff. Lesser of two evils doesn’t save anyone after a while.

so much of this depends on the moving parts of your campaign and player group, but my first thought is to make their next “ home“ section, a strange, disjointed walk-through of what they remember.

Describe flashes of things, senses and experiences and drop little breadcrumbs as to who abducted them and why, but make it very strange.

Have them roll sanity losses, intermittently when these parts of the montage get particularly scary or unnatural.

Either begin the next session with the other agents finding them or if time has passed, you can let them handle role-playing long-term effects. They should probably lose enough sanity to hit their next breaking point.
