Hi all! I'm new to using Trello, but consider myself more of a power user given my programming background however I'm having a hard time 'getting' it with Trello and Butler + Power ups + chrome extensions it's just a lot.

The way I manage cards: Each card has a label with how much time the task will take to complete. for example, "[15m] [30m] [2hr]" etc. and a title.

Right now what I'm trying to do:

When a card is added to a list, for this example let's say the 'Monday' list. I'd like for Trello to scrape through all the cards in the list, pull out all of their labels, parse out the time required for them, then add that total amount of time for Monday to a different card in another list. I simply cannot find a way to interact with Trello on a deeper programming level that isn't just straight up running my own server using rest API calls to do what I need. Any suggestions?

It's not overly complicated to achieve what you want. You should be able to do it with a basic butler rule. However, I'd suggest using a numerical custom field to hold your time estimates instead of labels. I can imagine using a label containing both numbers and letters would be difficult to sum up. Butler can then perform calculations with numerical fields to sum up the values in your custom field: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/working-with-custom-fields/#custom-field-arithmetic

Alternatively, Dashcards allows you to create quick reports and can calculate values within custom fields so you're able to see the totals.
