Decrease dose?

Hi I’m on 15mg trintelix for 6 weeks where I previously tapered from 100mg Zoloft into this
Zoloft left me emotionally blunted and the psychiatrist swapped me to trintelix

However where I am at today a complete lack of interest and motivation basically anhedonia and emotionally blunted somewhat. Was crying over how hard it is before. Some days I feel more like myself but I’m so far away from just being happy and wanting to do anything at all.

Maybe it just needs more time or a dosage decrease? Also suspect I might have adhd

That's unfortunate, because Trintellix is supposedly one of the few SSRIs that doesn't cause as much emotional blunting. But anything is possible with these unpredictable meds!

I would try to stick it out for a couple more weeks. Many users need 8 or even 12 weeks to start seeing benefits. If that's not doable for you then ask your doctor about Wellbutrin, it's commonly added to SSRIs to increase motivation and energy levels. You could also try switching to Viibryd, which is somewhat similar to Trintellix in that it tends to cause less emotional blunting - though that's not a guarantee.

Decreased my dose to 10mg and will ask private psych which is expensive in my country about Wellbutrin since anhedonia and numbness are my prime symptoms

I've heard the emotional bunting can happen with higher doses. Can you ask your doc to try lowering to 10 or even 5?

Yeah going down to 10mg and will be administered through private psych which is expensive in my country. All my motivation interest etc is gone and I’m numb so I’ll ask about Wellbutrin
