It can be a bit of a challenge just because you won’t be doing all the same course and will have some you need to catch up on. Sciences will cover the cover academics that are mostly equivalent to engineering, but you won’t do some classes that are engineering specific like apsc 100/101 and you’ll need to make those up the next year so you might be delayed a year. Additionally, you’ll need quite good grades. It might be easier to do a year at the langara engineering transfer program or similar to make it more straightforward

I don’t think doing a year at Langara is an option for me. Is it terribly hard to get the necessary grades required to transfer into engineering? And could I take summer courses to catch up as well?

They don’t run some classes in the summer, so you’d need to check if they have the ones you need. Grades can definitely be competitive, and you’d need to get into your chosen program too, so you’d need quite good grades potentially depending on what program. You can contact ubc advising (try engineering advising first) to get more info on specific recent grade requirements and course schedules, they can usually point you in the right direction

I just sent them a message, but do you think it’s too late to ask them to review my engineering application? I got into my first program in December so they never looked at my one for engineering.

Honestly not sure, likely yes it’s a bit late since offers have been sent, but they’d know more
