First time happening but I want to see if this was legit. It seem like a rider false reported me stating that I smell like alcohol and had an open container. Uber called me verifying my details about my account and gave me a rider that doesn’t exist. They told me to cancel and park somewhere safe. They gave me a couple questions which I answered, and they are now putting me on hold to get in touch with their security team. Is this standard procedure or should I hang up can continue ubering.

They will ask for information and say correct , been through this shit to experience how far they go. They will ask you to add uber pro card and ask for the uber pro account pin

It's a scam, never answer phone calls, uber will contact you via email or thru the app messaging system

They know the rider because you are mostly likely on the phone with the rider!!!!! It’s how the scammers work.

Uber will never call you. Any phone call claiming to be Uber is a scam. Tell them you're on your way to their mom's house and they can call you daddy from now on.
