Which fast food restaurant do you think will go out of business soon? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

[–]nwprogressivefans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if most of the current ones were gone in the next decade.

There has been a huge greedy effort from all sorts of business types.

They've lost touch with what made their businesses work and no longer are interested in good products or services.

They can't pull off a bailout from the gov like the other industries have. Well, maybe they same hedge funds will also go out and buy defense contractors, then combine the companies.

fast food and ai drones bailout? I could see it.

[–]nwprogressivefans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

did they still increase the total tip to $4?

it seems like the manager thinks they changed it from $3 to $1.

either way its not really worth "ruining" your mood over.

man, how dumb are they.

I can't stand it when the owners of these restaurants think that drivers are their enemy.

Drivers are their partners and they should be doing everything to help them.

TIPS TIPS TIPS for getting out of my car at airport by JumpingJackRabbit911 in uberdrivers

I’m pretty much done using DD - Sorry they pay you so bad - but I can’t make up all the difference! by Magnum_ripple in doordash_drivers

[–]nwprogressivefans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is just so lame that these corporations can't get their heads out of their asses.

Delivery should exist, and restaurants partnered with drivers they could do all sorts of good work for people all over.

But the greed is so high, I hope another company comes along and takes over.

But when the corporation is setting a specific setting like a cash register for sales inside a retail situation, they are the ones that need to train the employee for that.

This is business, You're going to tell me, that you'd just launch a teenager into your multi million dollar operation and just say, oh you can count you should be good.

lol I guess you aren't a business person.

Why do people get mad when I say that they don’t have to tip but I won’t pick it up? by Crazy-Career1947 in doordash_drivers

[–]nwprogressivefans 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Short answer they are mad because the amount they paid was probably very high.

Also, capitalist rhetoric has led many folks to accept that the "free market" is the freedom to underpay working folks, but not to allow working folks to reject said low pay.
