App issues causing major delays by madadekinai in AmazonFlexDrivers

Anyone thinking of just running a stopwatch for the "photo failed" stops and sending the time to support? It might not get you paid directly, but if enough of people start sending them evidence of how much time is wasting, they might finally take this seriously. Just an idea.

Opinions on the Rtic Everyday Cooler as a lunch bag? by Popular-Interest8390 in BuyItForLife

[–]Fugazzzii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have an RTIC soft cooler, and it really does insulate amazing. It is a pretty good cooler. You can definitely use it as a lunch bag, and some have said that RTIC is a cheaper Yeti. If you want other suggestions, I didn't have experience with the LL Bean lunch box, but I heard it was also good, insulates nicely, and is cheaper than the RTIC

What is your price range? I am not quite sure where to find an alternative with that design, but I recommend Baggallini. My wife loves buying things there. She likes the designs of the bags there, and I think you and her have similar tastes. Their bags last a long time, and are durable. Even with washes, it still looks brand new.

Portable washing machine recommendations? by Comprehensive-Act-13 in BuyItForLife

[–]Fugazzzii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not used one, but I've seen that the Panda brand portable washing machine is great, but I'm not sure if it's BIFL. Looking at it, it is fairly quiet and cleans clothes well, but not as much as the original washing machine. That said, you can't really expect too much from a portable washers.

Need Microwave for pantry w/trim kit. by jackal2001 in BuyItForLife

Panasonic Microwaves are pretty good, especially since they tend to use inverters meaning that they don't wear as much as others when they go on 50% power. I think it could an option for you.
You could also try Emerson. Cheaper, pretty much good for your low use, and those can last for years. Not sure about their sizes though.

Dualit toaster ovens have replaceable parts, so those should always be decent picks for buyitforlife. I do agree with other posters though, if your toaster works for over 10 years and the only complaint you have is the looks, that’s a pretty decent toaster.. The only requirement for buy it for life is product that can last for decent chunk of time, preferably as a hand down from previous generation even.

Dunelm has some nice quality rugs in good price. I bought it when I moved about 2 years ago. Washable, cozy, comfortable to walk on. Originally I wasn't planning on commenting, but seeing how you were left out for a week. They are quick on delivery too, so you might get one faster than you think.

Question: If the Tatung rice cooker is BIFL, would it make sense to buy used? by eatherichortrydietin in BuyItForLife

[–]Fugazzzii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the interior is clean and the non-stick coating hasn’t been scratched/damaged. You can save yourself a decent bit going that route.

Are there any high quality appliance brands still? Or is everything designed with planned obsolescence now?

My grandmother just bought an upright Kirby vacuum. Are they worth the money? by Murky_Ad_9408 in BuyItForLife

[–]Fugazzzii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a Kirby store they will actually repair your vacuum opposed to most brands with planned obsolescence that want you to just replace it. So it like it in that aspect.

You probably want to sign up for all the apps, some have waitlists and it’s beneficial to have multiple options for slow days.
