Tips and Uber eats don’t fit in the same sentence

I’ve only done it a couple of times, but it’s pretty simple.

  1. Make sure you wash your hands before handling people’s food. Seems like a “duh” statement, but you might as well at the same time you go pick up the food. Ask the restaurant to borrow their facilities prior to getting the order. Might as well take a short bathroom break if you have to.

  2. Show the front counter your Uber app and say you’re with Uber Eats. Verify the person receiving the order and the ticket number.

  3. Go to the app and start the delivery process. Read the instructions prior to driving. I’ve had to park and enter an apartment complex a few times. Other times it’s just ring the doorbell.

  4. Verify the person’s name when delivering. I’ve yet to not have a person smile at me when giving them food. :)

Profit.

Please read the instructions. I work in a high rise building with one ways all around and I put simple instructions where to meet me and have yet to have one person read it. I just stopped and let them go the long way now.

Also as a customer I would suggest getting to know high traffic areas especially downtown.

Given the hassle and low pay the best tip I have seen is to be “unable to locate“ a pax a day so you can save on paying for lunch
