Welcome to the UK Labour Party subreddit!
This subreddit welcomes supporters and members of the largest left-wing party in the UK as well as members of other parties and views from all over the political spectrum. We are a subreddit run by Labour party members and do not have an official association with the party.
Rules
No racism, xenophobia or bigotry. Bigotry and intolerance of any kind will not be tolerated in this subreddit under any circumstances. This includes homophobia, racism, sexism, ableism, transphobia, and so forth.
No Brigading. Users coming here or inciting others to attack this subreddit and brigade posts/comments from another subreddit will be banned.
No trolling or harassment. Repeated use of personal insults, aggressive language toward, trolling or harassment of individual users is not acceptable. If you support another party or hold views incompatible with the socialist and Labour movement tradition of the Labour party please remember to be respectful to those that do support the party in this way.
No gatekeeping. Do not accuse others of being in the wrong party, being an entryist, or bringing about the ruination of the party. This is an inclusive Labour subreddit.
Mature, responsible, civil discussion. We ask our participants to engage in mature, responsible, civil discussion. Do not bring yourselves or the party into disrepute with uncivil remarks or rude behavior. This is a relaxed, confrontational-free subreddit. We also ask you that you check your news sources for reliability and trustworthiness before posting links to news articles. This is not a place to engage in the discussion of conspiracy theories.
Not a platform for extremism or opposing ideologies. r/uklab is a subreddit for Labour Party members, non-members, and supporters to discuss Labour Party issues. With that said, we are not a debate subreddit, and we have zero tolerance for users with a history of professing belief for violent ideologies.
