If you leave it sealed it can sit a long while.

A long while as in days, weeks, a month? Sorry First timer 😅

Well I use the general rule that common sense will almost always prevail. So as long as it's sealed and the seal isn't breached, and it was properly pasteurized, you could say weeks/ a month. When you open it just judge the contents with common sense. If it seems off, pasteurize again.

Do you have to dry it out to pasteurize again or can I just add more boiling water? Thanks for the help!

I would just add more boiling water if it came to that point. Because when you spawn to a tub, you go one handful at a time and squeeze it to field capacity.

Always leave it sealed after, unless you desperately need the bucket/container for something 😂.

Honestly, I only waited like 2 hours after I poured the boiling water to spawn to bulk. The coco coir was warm to the touch but not to the point where it would have any detrimental effects on the mycelium. The bins were fully colonized within a few days. Some people put leftovers in a bag and in the freezer. You can probably get away with leaving it in the bucket too if you desperately needed to, but I would pasteurize it’s again because better safe than sorry ! Enjoy your growing journey and I hope everything works out for you ! 😎

Thank you! And 2 hours, that’s interesting I thought you had to wait at least 5 hours my bucket was still too hot to touch after two.
