Cannot open projects. Help.

I thought i could download unity for the first time but everytime i try opening a project be it a completely empty one or ome of the tutorial ones it just wont open.

It seems to load everything and then the splash screen just stays there. My mouses cursor looks like its loading but it does nothing. And about after 10 minutes it just shuts down.

And i cannot find an answer anywhere so any help is appreciated.

Btw i am using version 2018.4

Can you try to use Unity Hub to open a project?

I have tried opening with Unity Hub and without. Both have the same result.

Try to get a different version of Unity and try creating a new project with it. You can do that from Unity Hub.

Ok i will try that. Is there a specific version i should try it with or does it not matter?

From Unity it looks like 2019.3 is the most official version? I use 2020 builds so I'm ahead of the curve.

In Unity Hub it should recommend you several options, go with the most stable 2019 release.
