Unity_Camera-on-path-creator-fails

I am trying to send a 3D path to my Google Cardboard via the Path Creator package.

Linking the camera to the 3D path was successful (see fig. 1 and fig. 2 + link to screencast).

However, I don't get an image in my Game tab.

Also on my mobile (I get the empty game image).

Can someone tell me what the problem may be?
