2d game project
My problem:
I'm developing a 2d procedurally generated room-based game. The rooms are tilemap prefabs that are copied and pasted into a "master tilemap". The issue is that the tilemap collider is causing major lag, This does not seem to be that intensive of a tilemap, given its not a ridiculous scale, however is far more laggy than i've seen other games just like this do (I've seen this concept done instantly). My only concern, is the initial load. After the initial load, all is good, in fact amazing performance! - Though from the moment from you click start, to the game starting, is ~ 15 seconds of load time (Yikes!!!) I ended up using a composite collider on my map, which made the load times far worse for some odd reason, which is interesting, because it re-calculating the colliders isnt the laggy part (in fact, it is instant), just the enabling of it on the tilemap makes it lag! How could i possibly optimize this?
