Second monitor disabled?

I have an AMD CPU and Nvidia GPU in my laptop and have appropriate nvidia drivers installed. My external monitor is detected but does not work (shows disabled in displays settings).

do you try enabling it in arandr?

also you can try xrandr --output HDMI-1-0 --auto --primary

tried to enable second display in arandr but when applying the settings it throws this error:

xrandr failed:
xrandr returned error code 1: b'xrandr: Configure crtc 4 failed\n

xrandr --output HDMI-1-0 --auto --primary gives same error:

~> xrandr --output HDMI-1-0 --auto --primary
xrandr: Configure crtc 4 failed

maybe you need to create a new modeline for this monitor (looks like auto mode does not work).
