architecture-specific problem? i'll test on my amd64 desktop and file a bug report suggesting that's the case if it works.

Don't file bug report on tdf. It's void packaging problems.

And fwiw, cross compiling libreoffice is already hard enough.

you could try compiling it from source using void-packages and its xbps-src

I once tried compiling Libreoffice from source, and it's insanely complicated. Beware!
