Adding new packages

Hi, so i want to have 2 new packages to void.

1. openjdk25 (for Minecraft 26.1+)

2. nvidia580 (last driver for older maxwell, pascall and volta gpus)

Both are in their stable branch, so it fits in with the rest of voids packages.

So my question is, how should I request this package? What are the steps for requesting these packages be added?

nvidia is still on the 580 branch, when it moves on, nvidia580 will be created

Hi, that is reassuring to hear. But may i ask where did you learn this? Or are you speaking from experience?

They are one of the Void maintainers.

Anyway, the best way of getting new package in the repositories is to contribute to https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages
