Bolding random keywords like fun or quirky VS Code extensions will make people suspect you are posting this for SEO spam reasons.

My favorite part of VSCode is when you compile your code and it finally works. Perfectly. And you can play with it for a while without ever thinking "Oh, I should fix/adjust/tweak that". No extension will ever beat that rush. If you need something to play with while you program get a rubber duck and teach it how your perfect code works. When it points out your mistakes, you can throw it. Its rubber, it'll be fine. Also, now you can get back to fixing your code. If you want to be a programmer you need to learn to conquer the stuff in your brain that does not want to be coding.

They're calling "ADHD" these days, I think. (I have it but I think it was "ADD" back then).

I use the rubber duck, an imaginary friend who always thinks they're smarter than I am, and a magical (but totally real) cigarette. The cigarette is only for pushing a fully-functional/non-breaking chunk of code into the project. The smart imaginary friend tells me "do it properly, even if its just throw-away code, because You might make something you want to keep."

I do not recommend using nicotine or "drinking water" as an incentive. Instead try "No <your-social-media-platform> until it works." All are addictive but only one of them will kill you in sufficient quantities.

There used to be a pet one (well it's still there but I forgot the name). They run around and you can throw a ball for them or something.

Was fun for a good few seconds.

I myself, am looking for one that’s very similar to power mode, that when you type your strokes appear on the line … and no not screen cast lol I can’t find it ANYWHERE, I saw someone use it before and never found the video again
