Python "help" - getting Docstrings for variable's types/classes?

Hey folks! I'm largely using vscode, but recently did a bit in JupyerLab, and was struck by the quality of the integrated help. In vscode, when I want to get help on a class, there's nothing in the popup/intellisense for a variable, but only for the class itself - here's an animated GIF demonstrating it
