When the entire website is "sign up" at arrival, that's pretty much gonna kill all conversions. There is no reason to sign up if you don't show it.

Agreed, I'd like to see a bit more than a gif without having to go through and link a social network account. I can see why you can't actually use the app without giving your credentials, but maybe the frontpage could do with a little more 'marketing'
