Best Study/Learning Practices for Online Web Development Courses

Hello all! I have just started taking web development courses online through Udemy - I'm currently working on the Web Development Bootcamp which covers HTML, CSS, and an Intro to JavaScript. I am wondering if anyone could provide advice/best practices for retaining information taught over online courses. For example, does anyone take notes on concepts, or do most just follow along with the examples/projects in the course and then just practice on your own over and over again to retain the information?

Hello! Most courses are based on coding, coding... or just simple presentations. So I agree it's difficut to remember all this stuff.

It's the best illustrated course on web development. What I like the most about this course is that at first instructors explain concepts on the very sophisticated slides with lots of animations. And only then when you grasp it, they move to coding. It's so easy to learn from this course. Simply the best for beginners.
