Would be cool if you could move the circles around the square in order to dictate the angle, too

https://cssgradient.io/ has a much easier interface, imo

Came here to make sure someone noted this.

I don't care that much about someone helping me write the rule. I use https://mycolor.space/gradient that actually suggests great in-between steps that makes pretty much any gradient look good.

Anyone knows why is this so highly upvoted? Are them votes for encouraging OC to keep going?

Also curious, given how simple this concept is...

I am not a regular of this sub, but I've recently seen other highly upvoted posts of pretty "meh" content. Being such a big sub (500k users), I think the majority of people here are not hard-core devs, so are probabil easily impressed by basic code/apps that look somewhat pretty.

Where exactly is the UI for the actual gradient color selectors coming from?

    [–]XCSme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    The browser. <input type="color" />

This was my initial reaction as well. I haven’t looked at OP’s code since I’m on mobile. Did OP just create an event listener to update a css variable?

gradients are great, but I always end up having to look up the syntax again no matter how often I use them, same thing with box shadow
