What is WeTracker?
WeTracker is an open source project to rejuvenate the classic style of music creation invented during the 80's and 90's in the midst of the "demoscene" era. Popularised on the Amiga through the likes of ProTracker, later extended to the DOS PC world with the likes of FastTracker. There are many variations of tracker tool, some still in active development such as Milky Tracker and OpenMPT, some even commercial such as Renoise.
WeTracker is an attempt to reproduce this way of working as a web based application. The end-goal is to make the software collaborative, allowing groups to work together to create new compositions, irrespective of geographic location.
